Nathaniel came home with us on May 2, 2008. Very healthy and active, he had four basic needs: eat, sleep, look around, and go to the bathroom!
Susan stayed home with Nathaniel and Tom adjusted his schedule to work from home four of five days a week to help out at home.
A fun part of our day was when he was ready to nap, we would make a "baby burrito" wrapping him up (swaddling some say) and placing him on a foam mat. This mat was slightly angled and had "bumpers" on the side to hold him in place, on his back. Nathaniel was an active baby, almost immediately wiggling his arms out everytime we laid him down.
He was baptised when he was only ten days old and Susan won a prize at church for having the "newest baby" on Mother's Day.
