Talked to Jodi tonite.

The AP embedded reporter IS WITH TIMS COMPANY.

I have the articles as a MS WORD file in the timmy times website. She talked to the marine, the one who was being carried in the picture, today. He blew out his knee and apparently lost a lot of weight due to sickness. He's back in 29 palms. Another marine in tims company, got shot in the butt, is still there! She is going to talk to him again for more details, but says they are around Basra and tim is doing well.

Wow!

So, if you havent been to the timmy times website, go there and check out the pics, they are pretty compelling.

Thanks
Tom

March 25 part II

update:

I've added ten more people to the mailing list, wow!

You may have seen myself and my dad (Jim Funke) on News 3 kalamazoo michigan on sunday night and monday morning.

We haven't heard anything about where he is or what he is doing. We suspect he has an embedded AP reporter with his battalion, possibly his company.

Talked to Jodi last night, she's pretty anxious. If any of you know her and would like to call to give her support, im sure she would appreciate it 760.367.9891 but dont expect a call back if you leave a message.

Jodi says she can get some information from the company support group and will relay it to me. She also is sending me photographs of Tim in Kuwait.

I put news links and a really cool ms word file with photos and text from the embedded AP reporter. You can find that on the Timmy Times website, link is below

Also, send the website link to others that may know him.

Keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Be sure to sign the guest book on the web page, i will print and send to Tim in the near future.

An Email from Annie to Timmy Times Subscribers

Here's A quick up date. Jim talked to Jodie late last night.
The email I sent on 3/21 of the soldier being carried was Tim's Co. Actually one of his troops. I found many more in the next three days of the 7th marines 3 batt. and 3 batt India. these were all of Tim's unit. The young man Cpl. Barry Lange is Jodie's neighbor and back at 29 palms. Jodie has been able to talk to him, but it appears that after he severely injured his knee he went to the rear and home.
This pic was taken on 3/21 near Az Bayer. (Az Zubayr)
I have been able to track the seventh until early on Sunday when it was mentioned that they took a naval base at Az Zubayr. There have been many pics (AP Laura Rauch) that I found and Tom has tried to put them on his Web site. I haven't checked yet. The AP reporter/photo team Laura Rauch has been on Monday reporting on the Brits at Basra and nothing on the 7th marines, so it appears to me that they( the AP) have stayed at Basra.
Yesterday during one of the news reports on Basra mention was made that the Brits were remaining in Basra area and the US Marines had moved north towards Bagdad. The 1st Marines are move on the westside Along the Tigris. Tim's unit is part of the 1st Marines. [1st Marines, 7th Regiment, 3(Batt)/4(marines) India Co. 3rd Platoon]. Don't know if he's moving north with that bunch. Chip Reid (reporter) is with a unit of 1st Marines the 3/5 moving north.
To make things a bit more confusing on CNN this AM there was mention by the Brit reporter imbedded with the Desert Rats at Basra about USMarines helping call in fire destroy some enemy areas in Basra.
I'll hit the internet a see what I can find out and try to talk to Jodie later in day.
